Overview
Full Time Teaching Assistant, Permanent 8.30am-3pm Monday to Friday, 29.20 hours per week. Ringwood is a large, dynamic, and inclusive mainstream secondary school committed to providing a high-quality learning environment for all students. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our SEN team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support students in and out of the classroom, helping to remove barriers to learning and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
* Support students with their learning, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
* Assist in classroom activities, small group interventions, and one-to-one support.
* Encourage and promote independent learning and student confidence.
* Provide pastoral care and support students\' social and emotional well-being.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A passion for working with young people and supporting their education.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work well as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential).
* Experience working in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
* Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
