We are delighted to be working alongside Peterhead FC Community Foundation who are looking for a confident, proactive, and engaging Community Coach on a part time basis to deliver their Partner School Program and other community programs to make a difference in the community. The Partner School Program is aligned with Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) which helps our children and young people gain the knowledge, skills and attributes to become Successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to our community. Contract Type: Part-time - Fixed Term Hours: (18 hrs./week) with flexible working Duration: 2-year contract commencing January / February 2026, (opportunity for extension beyond this depending on future funding). Employment is conditional on the successful applicant undergoing reference and PVG checks, plus successful completion of a 3-month probation period. Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Delivery of the PFCCF Partner School Program supporting service users on an individual basis and/or groups in Primary/Secondary Schools to enable them to develop positive behaviour, management of emotions and positive lifestyle techniques. Maintain accurate records, prepare, and present reports on participation, evaluating the success / impact of the Partner School and SFA Extra Time programs against key performance targets and report to the Board of Trustees on a quarterly basis. Where requested, plan and deliver other coaching and experiences to participants in the Foundation’s various programs and initiatives in line with the Foundation’s values in a fun and safe environment but in an efficient and professional manner. Being an ambassador of the Foundation, always providing excellent customer service, treating all colleagues and customers with respect, ensuring the physical, mental, social, and moral well-being of participants and other staff members always. Compliance with all PFCCF policies, procedures and guidelines especially remembering responsibilities to others under Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Health and Safety, Safeguarding of Children, and vulnerable people. Perform other duties as required, which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of the Foundation as identified by the board of Trustees. Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience: SCQF National level 5 (or equivalent) in English and Maths SFA Coach Education Qualification to 1.3 Coaching in The Game and Safeguarding Children (or working towards) Full UK driving licence. Relevant qualification and/or experience in the delivery of community programs/coaching sessions or in youth work programs (desirable) First Aid Qualification (desirable) Desired Experience, skills & Knowledge: Experience of working with primary school aged children with diverse backgrounds or within primary schools. Experience of leading coaching sessions for participants of different ages and ability to adapt delivery to different stages of learning. Experience of planning, developing, delivering and reporting of programs. Experience of managing challenging behaviour appropriately and effectively. A track record of working in partnership Clear understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety within educational/youth settings Clear understanding of Equality and diversity and culture Understanding of GIRFEC and SHANARRI indicators and how to use them to monitor wellbeing and treating everyone fairly. Understanding of Curriculum of Excellence (CfE) Health and Wellbeing outcomes and gathering evidence to demonstrate compliance Ability to self-motivate and to manage yourself or to work effectively as part of a team, building positive relationships with young people and school staff Excellent written and verbal communication skills, competent level of skill with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Willingness and flexibility to work at various times, potentially including some evenings and/or weekends If you have the desired skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.
