Project Engineer - CivilsEngineering DepartmentFull Time | 37.5 Hours per WeekMonday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pmSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 + BenefitsWe are seeking an ambitious and motivated Project Engineer, Civils to join a high-performing Engineering team and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects within a live operational environment.This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic project delivery environment, gaining exposure to complex civil engineering schemes across airside and landside infrastructure settings.About the RoleReporting to the Project Manager, Civils, the successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of strategically important civil engineering projects.Projects will include works to:Runways and taxiwaysAprons and road networksUtilities infrastructureInfrastructure reconfiguration and extension projectsOngoing maintenance and asset improvement schemesThis role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate civil engineering projects from planning through to delivery and handoverSupport project management activities including programme, quality, safety, environmental, and budget controlsManage day-to-day contractor coordination and stakeholder communicationProduce and maintain accurate project records, reports, and lookahead programmesSupport procurement, construction, and logistical project activitiesEnsure compliance with all statutory, health & safety, environmental, and operational requirementsAssist in identifying and mitigating project risksPromote continuous improvement and best practice across project delivery teamsSupport operational troubleshooting alongside internal departments and external contractorsParticipate in emergency response exercises and operational resilience activities where requiredWhat We're Looking ForEssential CriteriaMinimum Level 6 qualification in Civil EngineeringMinimum 3 years' experience within the civil engineering sector as part of a project delivery teamExperience in:Record keeping and reportingQuality Control / Quality Assurance systemsHealth & Safety complianceWorking in safety-critical environmentsData collation and reportingProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsFull current driving licence and access to transportFlexibility to support occasional out-of-hours worksAbility to obtain and maintain security clearanceDesirable CriteriaExperience within aviation or airport environmentsExperience in pavement design and/or constructionProject Management qualificationCSCS, CSR, SafePass or equivalent construction industry cardExperience using AutoCAD, BIM, MS Project, or similar industry softwareKnowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and construction health & safety legislationBenefits37.5 hours per week, Monday to FridayAnnual leave entitlement of 247.5 hours per annum (25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory NI public holidays, totalling 33 days)6% employer pension contribution6-month probationary periodDeath in Service benefit:6 x salary if part of the pension scheme3 x salary if not part of the pension schemeEnhanced company policies including absence management and family friendly policiesFlexible Working PolicyEmployee Assistance Programme including counselling, wellbeing support, virtual GP access and online health assessmentsEmployee perks and discount programmeRecognition and wellbeing initiativesShare Save Scheme (eligibility rules apply)Why Apply?Opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects within a live operational environmentExposure to complex, high-profile civil engineering schemesCollaborative and high-performing engineering environmentLong-term career development opportunitiesWork that directly contributes to critical infrastructure deliveryWe are committed to fostering a culture built on integrity, teamwork, safety, communication, and continuous improvement.If you are looking to progress your civil engineering career within a dynamic and challenging infrastructure environment, we would like to hear from you.Benefits:+ Competitive BenefitsWHJS1_NI
