What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be a vital part of delivering BWB’s mission by:
* Conducting Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and protected species surveys across the UK.
* Completing biodiversity net gain metrics to drive sustainable outcomes.
* Producing detailed technical reports and competitive fee proposals.
* Collaborating with stakeholders and statutory consultees on exciting, complex projects.
* Supporting a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates ecology with wider environmental and engineering solutions.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for an experienced ecologist who:
* Has at least 3 years’ experience in ecological consultancy.
* Understands the full biodiversity net gain process and ecological appraisals.
* Holds a degree or master’s in Ecology or a related discipline.
* Has excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Is a CIEEM member and holds a valid driving licence.
* Ideally holds a protected species licence (or a reference for one).
