Dispatcher, Band 3 – Hours Various Part Time
Salary Scale: £28,011 - £30,230 per annum pro rata
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and organisational skills who can work using their own initiative and work as part of a team to join a busy and patient centred service. The successful candidate will work closely with the Out of Hours Team, other health professionals and agencies. As a key member of the operational team, you will be responsible for managing urgent patient cases referred by professional stakeholders such as care homes, district nurses, ambulance services, and NHS24. Working in real-time, you will coordinate the safe and effective deployment of OOH vehicles and clinicians across Dundee, Perth & Kinross, and Angus. You will ensure all urgent cases are prioritised appropriately and that vehicles are dispatched to the most suitable clinician in a timely and safe manner. Your role will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality care during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Hours of work are Monday to Sunday. You will cover a range of daytime/evening/overnight/public holiday shifts during periods of planned and unplanned (short notice) staff absence, including public holidays.
Current NHS Tayside employees - written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment. You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.
