About the Role
We are looking for a passionate ASC Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a large, inclusive primary school in Liverpool. The school is well-regarded for its strong community ethos and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to provide tailored support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ensuring they can access learning and thrive in a mainstream setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC.
* Implement strategies such as visual timetables, social stories, and sensory breaks.
* Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to adapt learning plans.
* Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour.
Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience supporting children with ASC or other SEN needs.
* Knowledge of autism strategies (PECS, TEACCH, sensory regulation).
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
* Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or SEN training) desirable but not essential.
