We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support, challenge, and drive strategic and financial decisions, ensuring alignment with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Your focus will be on leveraging data-driven insights and collaborating closely with stakeholders, building relationships between finance and the business to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
You will monitor, evaluate, and report performance against budgets, meet with budget holders, and advise on measures to ensure budget adherence.
You will support budget holders in developing their financial confidence and capability, enabling them to take greater ownership of their budgets and produce accurate forecasts.
You will conduct routine deep-dive performance reviews, clearly articulating outcomes and necessary actions.
Lead the finance workstream related to business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Lead and agree on all costings.
Provide commercial analysis on new business opportunities, contract renewals, and pricing strategies.
Prepare commentaries, MI packs, and other papers, both standardized and ad hoc, communicating financial information effectively to non-finance colleagues.
Skills & Experience Required
Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or QBE.
Proven experience in finance business partnering.
Knowledge of accounting procedures and processes.
Strong understanding of service budget setting, including staffing, costs, and revenue streams.
Experience in producing and reviewing management accounts.
Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders to drive results.
Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking skills, capable of interpreting complex financial data and providing strategic insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior non-financial stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office packages.
Willingness to attend meetings across the organization, including occasional overnight stays.
