Job overview
Interviews will be held on 21 May 2024.
There has never been a better time to join Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the Out of Area Placements (OAPs) as an expanding service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrative role in a newly commissioned service. The right candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting team colleagues with administrative duties daily. We are looking for someone who is driven, passionate, and excited to be part of a strategically important service, aligned with our Community Mental Health Transformation program which aims to transform and enhance mental health service delivery, in line with the Trust’s vision of ‘One-Team’.
The service will employ an innovative model to provide out of area service delivery, gatekeeping for S117 after-care applications, out of area placements/independent hospitals, and individual funding requests for complex mental health care for people with severe mental health issues. The role offers the chance to make a real difference by working closely with the OAPs team, mental health locality teams, ICBs, Local Authorities, Care Providers, and other stakeholders.
The role provides autonomy, variety, and development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will:
- have experience with complex administrative duties, MS Teams, and other software, and be able to multi-task
- be empathetic, supportive, and sensitive to others' needs
