Finance Assistant
Location: Tring
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (office-based with one remote day per week)
About the Role
Join a thriving local business in Tring as a Finance Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, manage financial processes, and contribute to the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive and process incoming invoices, submit for approval and PO requests
* Raise sales invoices and manage purchase and sales ledgers
* Check contracts and handle prepayments, client funds, and credit card payments
* Calculate and agree on commissions, deduct commissions during payments
* Ensure accurate payment processing and collaborate with clients for smooth operations
* Support the Accounts Manager and Commercial Director with finance tasks
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Finance/Accounts Assistant with knowledge of accounting entries
* Experience in processing invoices and managing ledgers
* AAT qualification or equivalent experience (QBE)
* Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel; experience with SAGE is a plus
* Excellent communication and customer service skills with a confident telephone manner
