Estimator / VDA Vacancy in Reading!
1. Competitive salary up to £50,000, dependent on experience
2. Monday to Friday schedule (45 hours/week), with occasional Saturday work (rare)

Are you an experienced automotive professional with a passion for delivering exceptional vehicle repairs? Join a well-established, busy accident repair bodyshop in Reading, Berkshire, where your skills will make a real difference. We are seeking a dedicated Estimator / VDA to be a vital part of our team and help maintain our reputation for quality and customer satisfaction.
As an Estimator / VDA, you will assess vehicle damages after accidents, determine repair feasibility, and estimate costs to ensure accurate, efficient repairs. Your expertise will enable you to prepare insurance documentation, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor repair processes to uphold high standards of quality.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities as an Estimator / VDA:
5. Evaluate damage to structural, body, mechanical, electrical, and interior components
6. Create accurate cost estimates for parts and labour using industry-standard systems
7. Complete insurance repair estimates and documentation
8. Negotiate with material suppliers to ensure cost-effective sourcing
9. Oversee repair progress, ensuring timely and quality workmanship
What We’re Looking For in an Estimator / VDA:
10. Previous experience as an Estimator / VDA in an accident repair environment
11. Proficiency in Audatex (training available if needed)
12. Knowledge of Autoflow system is a plus
13. Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
14. Ability to keep up to date with latest vehicle technology and repair methods
Nice-to-Have Skills:
15. Experience supporting multiple sites or in a group setting
16. ATA or NVQ qualifications in vehicle repair or estimating
Additional Requirements for the Estimator / VDA:
17. Flexibility to work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts
18. Automotive industry certifications or ATA qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory
