My client, a well:established commercial vehicle maintainer is actively seeking to add a fully skilled, experienced and qualified Chassis Engineer to their team.
Chassis Engineer Requirements:
: Demonstrated experience working as a vehicle mechanic or chassis engineer, ideally with commercial vehicles
: Strong understanding of light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
: Familiarity working with manufacturers such as Iveco, Mercedes, Renault, Ford, and Nissan
: Capable of completing MOT preparation work to a high standard
: Solid diagnostic and problem:solving abilities
: Full UK driving licence is essential
: Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent), are advantageous
Chassis Engineer General Duties:
: Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on 3.5:tonne commercial vehicles
: Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical and chassis:related issues
: Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
: Carry out repairs on braking, suspension, steering, and underbody systems
: Use diagnostic equipment to support fault:finding when necessary
: Deliver all work to a high standard within agreed deadlines
: Keep accurate and up:to:date service and repair documentation
: Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain workshop standards
