Job Description:
This role is for a Criminology Graduate aspiring to work as a Youth Criminal Justice Worker with a focus on mental health in SW London.
The School:
It is a new school opened in September 2023, supporting children and young people both at school and in the community, located near Hampton, Feltham, and Teddington. It caters to children aged 5-19 with various learning and behavioral needs related to social, emotional, and mental health challenges, especially those with high anxiety levels.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing assistance and supervision for children's behavior during the school day and supporting their learning
* Working with individual or small groups of learners inside and outside the classroom
* Encouraging social skills and supporting students' individual needs
* Building confidence and motivation
* Participating in team meetings and training
* Maintaining progress records
* Supporting safeguarding regulations
Requirements:
* An undergraduate degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
* Interest and understanding of diverse learning and behavioral needs
* Good education in English and Maths (A Levels preferred)
* A cooperative, proactive working style
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, caring attitude
* Flexibility in working patterns
Summary:
