Overview
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Part‑time) to join our Primary Care team at HMP Long Lartin, a category A male prison located in Littleton. The role involves supporting medication management services for a 690‑bed facility serving life‑sentence inmates.
Hours and Salary
* 22.5 hours per week with a mixture of 9‑hour day shifts and weekends on a rota basis.
* Annual salary pro‑rated between £29 264 and £33 510, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Deliver patient‑centred care, administer medicines, analyse cost‑effective prescribing, and maintain accurate patient records following SOPs.
* Provide non‑judgemental care within professional standards and support the health‑in‑justice medicines policy.
* Collaborate with teams, partners, and stakeholders to deliver a trustworthy, safe, and high‑quality medicines service.
Support and Development
* Bespoke induction and the Introducing Health in Justice training course.
* Competency framework and access to regional and national career development opportunities.
* Learning Management System to address learning needs.
* Support from the wider team.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or higher, BTEC or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Up‑to‑date with CPD.
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
* General GCSE education or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Training available.
