Job Title: History Teacher Location: Sheffield (S2, S3) Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Are you enthusiastic about bringing the past to life and helping learners understand how history shapes the world today? GSL Education are recruiting for a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher to join schools across Sheffield, particularly within the S2 and S3 communities. You’ll deliver thought‑provoking lessons that inspire curiosity and learning As a History Teacher, you will encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion while supporting students to develop a strong understanding of key historical events and themes. Key Responsibilities: Deliver well-structured and engaging history lessons. Support pupils in analysing sources and developing evaluative skills. Encourage respectful debate and independent thinking. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience as a History Teacher within a school setting. Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice. Good communication and organisational skills. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
