About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Food Production Manager to lead our busy sauce production operation in Derby. This is a hands-on management role, overseeing all aspects of large-scale sauce production using industrial kettles, while ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day production activities, ensuring schedules are met and workflows run efficiently

Lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff to deliver consistent high-quality results
*
Operate and oversee sauce kettles/jacketed kettles for large-batch cooking
*
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
*
Monitor quality control, stock levels, and production output to meet demand
*
Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and product consistency
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven management or supervisory experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
*
Hands-on experience using industrial cooking kettles (sauces, soups, ready meals, etc.)
*
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
*
In-depth knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP requirements
*
A proactive approach with the ability to problem-solve and manage a fast-paced kitchen
