SMART Working
We aim to offer flexibility wherever possible. Many of our colleagues work from home one or more days a week and/or adjust their hours. We call this SMART working - giving you the freedom to shape your working pattern around your life, whilst still delivering great outcomes. Speak with the hiring manager about the range of flexible working options available for this role.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to join the Adults Support & Prevention Hub, Trafford’s first point of contact for adults, carers and professionals seeking advice, information and support. In this busy and dynamic Front Door service, you will play a key role in ensuring people receive timely, proportionate and strengthsbased responses that promote independence, safety and wellbeing.
You will provide day‑to‑day operational leadership, contribute to strategic planning, and work closely with colleagues across Adult Social Care, Commissioning, health partners and the voluntary sector. You will oversee high‑quality triage, assessments and support planning, ensuring that adults with eligible or complex needs receive the right help at the right time.
You will also take a lead role in safeguarding, support service development, and help deliver Trafford’s prevention‑focused approach. This is a chance to shape a service that makes a real difference to people’s lives.
About You
You will bring strong leadership skills, professional curiosity and a commitment to high‑quality, person‑centred practice. You should have experience of managing or supervising practitioners in adult social care or a related setting, and a good understanding of strength‑based approaches, early intervention and prevention.
You will be confident making decisions in a fast‑paced environment and able to provide clear guidance on complex situations, including safeguarding. You will understand relevant legislation, be skilled in risk management, and maintain oversight of performance, quality and case progression.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and community organisations, building positive relationships that support seamless pathways for adults and carers. Strong communication skills, the ability to analyse information, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.
Above all, you will lead with empathy, promote inclusion, and be motivated to improve outcomes for adults, carers and families. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
