Situated in the fabulous Highlands of Scotland, our client is looking for their next Sous Chef to join this kitchen brigade and drive the business forward after a very successful 2024 and this year to date.
The Role
Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring a smooth service and offering supreme quality at all times.
Act as a Senior Hotel Member, representing values and commitment to excellence in every aspect of your role.
Collaborate in the development and execution of refined, seasonal menus and bespoke tasting experiences, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in both presentation and pricing.
Empower others with your knowledge of food, offering guidance and support to the wider team.
Ensure stock levels are maintained and managed efficiently, supporting sustainability and cost control.
Work closely with the Head Chef to achieve budgetary goals, particularly in relation to food cost targets.
Enforce and promote the highest standards of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene across the kitchen.
The Chef
Do you have proven experience as a Sous Chef or a senior kitchen role within a 4* hotel environment, overseeing restaurant and event operations?
A genuine passion for cooking and take immense pride in what you serve?
Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
Thorough understanding of food safety standards and kitchen compliance.
A calm, professional presence in a systematic environment.
Creative, organised, and detail-oriented, with a refined palate and eye for presentation.
Own transport is desirable, no live-in accommodation is available for this role.
