The Role We are looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer/ Maintenance Supervisor to take charge of engineering reliability and performance, reducing downtime and making the most of the plant's potential. This role is a vital cog in a 24/7 operation, with influence across the site and close collaboration with the Engineering Manager-who you will also be deputising for when required. You will manage a team of six skilled Engineers, plan weekly maintenance schedules, oversee continuous improvement projects and take ownership of mechanical investigations and solutions. It's a challenging, rewarding role with real impact. Requirements Degree (or minimum HND) in Mechanical Engineering Proven experience in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment Hands-on knowledge of pumps, bearings, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics (steam systems a plus) Confident team leader and motivator, with strong organisational and planning skills Skilled in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), continuous improvement and CAPEX project support Flexible and dependable, able to support a 24/7 operation (on-call required) On Offer You will join a company who are serious about engineering excellence and investing in people and their facilities.
