Job Overview
We are looking for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join our team at CNWL Talking Therapies Service Westminster. The service provides low and high intensity therapies at Step 2 and Step 3, alongside a Step 3 counselling service, within a diverse London borough. The role requires excellent communication, adaptability and a passion for primary care work. Additional languages and experience working with diverse populations are welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide assessments and deliver evidence‑based low‑intensity interventions for people with common mental health problems within a stepped care model.
* Conduct face‑to‑face, telephone or digital (Teams) sessions, and lead psycho‑educational workshops.
* Develop and maintain psycho‑educational resources for clients and the community.
* Work collaboratively with other clinical practitioners and external voluntary services to promote the service.
* Attend multidisciplinary meetings and provide clinical governance information.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and data collection in line with service protocols.
* Support the stepped care approach with appropriate step‑up and step‑down arrangements.
* Contribute to practice development and actively pursue progression to higher training.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualification from a recognised PWP training course (Post Graduate Certificate or Level 3 undergraduate course) or equivalent.
* Experience working with people with mental health problems and delivering low‑intensity interventions in IAPT or primary care settings.
* Experience using electronic patient‑management systems such as IAPTUS or PCMIS.
* Evidence of risk assessment and management skills.
* Desirable: Further postgraduate training in psychology, health, social science or research design; audit or research experience; fluency in an additional language; experience of group interventions.
Working Hours & Placement
Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, working between 8am and 8pm on weekdays. The post holder will work across the London Borough of Westminster, based mainly at 190 Vauxhall Bridge Road (South Hub) and Praed Street (North Hub) and may be required to work in GP surgeries and community settings.
