Technical Support Technician
The Technical Support Technician provides technical support and improves processes in the manufacturing of wind turbine blades.
This is not an IT Help Desk Role. Looking for manufacturing and production equipment background!
Responsibilities:
1. Owner of Technical Support processes within assigned production area
2. Ensure that production processes may be conducted safely
3. Work closely with Production staff to ensure that the production plan is met
4. Assist with troubleshooting process problems and implement solutions to reduce downtime and minimize maintenance costs
5. Monitor process equipment performance to identify errors and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
6. Lead and co-facilitate process improvement projects
7. Lead technology transfer projects, new process introductions, and capacity expansions
8. Update and audit Bill of Material for assigned process area
9. Create, validate, and maintain Production Work Instructions
10. Develop and update process procedures for accurate and understandable documentation
11. Provide technical support concerning product documentation to production and logistics
12. Interface with management and employees to gather information and guide implementations
13. Synthesize complex information; collect and research data
14. Translate concepts into visual formats; modify designs based on feedback; demonstrate attention to detail
15. Balance team and individual responsibilities; be objective and open to feedback
16. Follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks accurately and timely; support organizational goals
17. Observe safety procedures; report unsafe conditions; use equipment properly
18. Manage Site Specific instructions for the factory
19. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Competencies
1. Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
2. 4 years of manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent
3. Minimum 2 years' experience as a technical support technician
4. Experience composing work instructions
5. Experience processing engineering change requests
6. Preferred: understanding of 'lean' principles
7. Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and short correspondence
8. Effective in presenting information in small group settings
9. Mathematical skills including calculations with units, fractions, decimals, and interpreting graphs
10. Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions

Shifts Available:
* Friday - Sunday, 6 am - 6:30 pm ($3/hour differential)
* Friday - Sunday, 6 pm - 6:30 am ($6/hour differential)
Pay Range: $25.50 - $30 per hour
