Working Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 5:30am – 1:30pm
Salary: £34,608 per annum
Job Purpose
To support to the Planning Manager in the day to day running in the planning function of a large, chilled food manufacturing site.
Key Duties
* Responsible for overseeing day to day planning process.
* Ensure factory processes and procedures are being followed when issuing daily schedules.
* Maintaining and reporting Customer Service Level in line with KPI targets
* Manage departmental waste against KPIs targets.
* Keep planning systems up to date, making sure all new products and any changes to current products are correctly updated in the planning system.
* Short term capacity planning, monitor and highlight any short-term capacity issues based on production line scheduling information and availability.
* Work with procurement teams to ensure accurate demand for any materials that are due in.
Experience
* Previously held a similar role as a scheduler or planner and looking for a step up into a senior role
* Production planning experience in a manufacturing facility
Key Skills
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Numerical ability to record and analyse key process data.
* Proficient in the use of MS Office tools and IT systems.
Qualities
* Highly logical and analytical
* Strong interpersonal Skills, as you will be required to communicate with other departments.
* Team leadership, ability to manage and motivate a small team.
