Are you a qualified or soon to be qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner? Then we would like to hear from you. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in Cheshire West NHS Talking Therapies service, which has a well established supportive Step 2 team. We strive to be a committed, high‑quality clinical team, providing evidence‑based interventions to the people of Western Cheshire.
We are seeking highly motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join our valued step‑2 team. Post holders need to be registered with the BABCP or BPS, or working towards registration. Shortlisting for this vacancy will commence on 6 January and the proposed interview dates are 20 and 22 January.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
* Have completed an ‘IAPT’ post‑graduate certificate in low‑intensity interventions, qualifying you to work as a Psychological Well‑being Practitioner.
* Provide step‑2, NICE‑compliant interventions using digital platforms, remote technology, telephone and face‑to‑face, on an individual and group basis.
* Have experience of working in an NHS Talking Therapies and/or Primary Care Mental Health Service.
* Have good knowledge of the NHS Talking Therapies targets the teams are required to achieve.
* Will be required to work flexibly to cover the expanding service hours, as required by the service.
The successful candidate will join our NHS Talking Therapies Team on a permanent basis. The team is currently based in the Psychology Department at Bowmere Hospital, Liverpool Road, Chester.
Induction and Start Date
All new starters will commence in post on a fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction and initial training requirements of the role.
