We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer for a 12 month contract role, responsible for the preparation and delivery of piping draughting activities while ensuring technical quality is maintained within budget and schedule.
The successful candidate will ensure all assigned work aligns with agreed budgets and timelines while maintaining the required technical standards. They will be responsible for project planning, progress tracking, and cost control for assigned scopes, while also managing scope changes in collaboration with lead engineers and piping designers. Compliance with up-to-date industry standards, regulations, codes, and procedures is a key aspect of this role.
This position requires strong communication skills, as the Senior Piping Designer will work closely with project management and inter-discipline teams. They will be responsible for reviewing and checking work outputs, including remote work approvals, and will play a key role in improving design department practices and efficiency. The role also includes maintaining document filing systems, updating design databases, and supporting the competency development of design personnel, including mentoring trainees and providing technical assistance.
