The Skipton Group of companies operates across the UK, the Channel Islands and New Zealand, including Skipton Building Society, the Connells Group, Skipton International Limited, Skipton Business Finance and the Jade Corporation.
Our vision is to provide data-led assurance and insights to support the Skipton Group in delivering its purpose. GIA is a team of over 35 colleagues focused on audit and assurance across the Home Financing and Money Businesses within the Society.
What Will You Be Doing?
You will lead or support on a wide range of audits covering all aspects of the Home Financing and Money Businesses. You will lead small multi-disciplinary teams and help to coach and develop others in the team. The role is based at our Head Office in Skipton, with branches and operations across the UK; from time to time you may be required to work from home.
We may use data analytics, visualisation and storytelling in our reporting and explore the adoption of AI into our audit journey.
What Do We Need From You?
We’re looking for someone with hands-on audit experience, particularly in conduct and operational areas, preferably in financial services and/or a regulated environment. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the following:
* Extensive audit experience.
* Comprehensive working knowledge of leading and delivering reviews.
* Excellent communication skills.
* The ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* An ability to lead and motivate small teams.
* Hands-on and delivery-focused approach.
* Comfort with using data and curiosity about visualisation to support outcomes and reporting.
* Willing and able to juggle multiple priorities and still deliver great outcomes.
Employment Details
Full-time, 35 hours per week. Permanent. Hybrid working.
