Behavioural Support Assistant

If you answered yes to any of the above then Teaching Personnel has the perfect position available for you at the moment. One of our partnership schools in the Porth area is looking for a Behavioural Support Assistant to support students on the verge of exclusion and work towards maintaining the in mainstream education. This position is available to start in September and runs on a full-time basis for the academic year 25-26.
Behavioural Support Overview:
* Work on a 1:1 basis with a student exhibiting challenging behaviours
* Support any additional needs this student may have
* Perform as part of a team & take direction from senior management
* Escort student from lesson to lesson, sitting in on classes and assisting with work set
* Identify triggers and stressful situations and remove student from them
Behavioural Support Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS Certificate available on the update service
* Valid registration with the EWC or willingness to apply
* Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects
* Previous experience managing challenging behaviour or supporting vulnerable adults or children
* Passion for education
* Patient and caring nature
