Citadel Source is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a market-leading business in the Hereford area. The company is expanding its financial capabilities and is subsequently seeking a Group Cash Manager to join them.
The role
The Group Cash Manager's purpose is to establish and embed a Group wide cash management policy, ensuring monthly reconciliations are completed and instil financial discipline at all levels within the organisation, safeguarding the Group's assets. The role will be accountable for all Group cashflow forecasting activities, working closely with the FP&A team to support the short-term and long-term forecasting requirements for the business. You will also be accountable for the AP/AR team, working collaboratively to assist the finance team with improving and streamlining processes.
About you
This opportunity will suit a qualified/part-qualified accountant who has proven experience with cashflow forecasting and a detailed understanding of the balance sheet. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and leadership capabilities, with a data-driven mindset/approach. This is a broad role and will give the successful applicant some great exposure to the wider business.
As a Group Cash Manager, your role will include, but not be limited to:
* Implement a cash management policy, including approval limits and ensure adherence across the group
* Lead on implementing robust banking controls, to include BACS, banking mandates and banking approvals in accordance with the cash management policy
* Detailed cashflow forecasting looking forward a minimum of 13 weeks, investigating/explaining any unexpected variances in cash, escalating as appropriate
* Group cashflow reporting to key internal and external stakeholders
* Work with key stakeholders to drive improvements to the overall forecasting knowledge, improving the forecasting accuracy and efficiency
* Accountable for the Accounts Receivable function, including balance sheet reconciliations of all bank account reconciliations for management accounts purposes
* Work closely with the FP&A team to facilitate a deep understanding of actuals versus budget/forecast, assisting with analysis and variance analysis where required
* Management and development of a small team, including coaching, mentoring and delegating where relevant
