Responsibilities
Assisting with the planning and delivery of the curriculum, using the EYFS as a guide. Setting up classrooms and playrooms, and ensuring they are tidy afterward. Acting as a key person to a small group of children, building effective relationships with parents/carers, and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met. Teaching children, providing appropriate support and stimulating play experiences, and maintaining child safety. Understanding and following child protection procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with young children.
* Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
* Capability to teach and engage children in play-based learning.
* Understanding of child protection policies.
* Clear background checks: childcare disqualification, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), medical checks, social media review, proof of right to work, satisfactory references, suitability to work with children. Must disclose any unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Additional Information
The Willows Preschool is located on the grounds of North Bradley Primary School, with strong links to the main school. Opening hours are 09:00 – 15:00, term time only, with an earlier start at 08:30 subject to demand. Children from two years up to school age are cared for, including funded two‑year olds.
