Job Summary
Coordinate and facilitate clinical audits across departments, ensuring alignment with the hospital's audit strategy and national standards.
Coordinate and facilitate National Clinical Audits, Registries and NCEPOD across departments.
Maintain and update the clinical audit schedule, ensuring timely completion and reporting.
Support the management and use, inclusive of providing training and troubleshooting assistance, of AMaT (Audit Management and Tracking system).
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and facilitate clinical audits across departments, ensuring alignment with hospital and national standards.
* Support the management of the Audit Management and Tracking (AMaT) system, providing training and troubleshooting support where needed.
* Contribute to the delivery of national audits, registries, and NCEPOD participation.
* Collect, analyse, and interpret clinical and patient outcomes data.
* Prepare summary reports, dashboards, and presentations for governance and quality groups.
* Support services in linking audit findings to quality improvement initiatives and action plans.
* Monitor compliance with NICE guidance and other national standards.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in clinical audit, data analysis, or quality improvement within a healthcare setting.
* Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, clinical governance, or data management.
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to build effective working relationships across clinical and non-clinical teams.
Desirable
* Experience using AMaT, My Clinical Outcomes, or similar systems.
* Familiarity with national audit programmes such as NJR, ICNARC, or PROMs.
* Understanding of NICE compliance and Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies.
