To start as soon as possible
Join our DT team and help bring students’ ideas to life, one project at a time!
Our students are truly exceptional – intelligent, articulate, funny, and welcoming. They value the support and care they receive, and they deserve nothing less than the very best. We are committed to ensuring they experience this consistently, in every aspect of school life, every single day.
We are a true comprehensive school which is built on strong family values, where everyone is seen, recognised and valued. This has led to us becoming one of the most successful and oversubscribed schools in the region. To continue to fulfill our ambitions for our students we need outstanding staff who are dedicated, passionate, dynamic, caring and inspiring. We firmly believe we have a world-class staff team, and we're excited to welcome a new DT Technician to join our team.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Casual DT Technician to join our well-renowned Design & Technology team. Our DT department is nationally recognised for excellence in engineering and Greenpower, and thanks to the innovation of the team, we will soon have the first school-based Test Track in the UK. All of this success stems from our shared passion for inspiring the next generation of engineers, chefs, and fashion designers.
The successful applicant will be a proactive and dedicated technician who is ambitious for both themselves and our students. You will support the DT curriculum across all specialisms.
In return, the successful applicant will become part of a school community built on strong family values, where staff are well-supported, well-resourced, and genuinely appreciated. This includes:
Flexible, casual working hours that fit around your commitments – ideal for maintaining a healthy work–life balance.
Opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a nationally recognised DT department without the pressures of a full-time post.
The chance to be part of an innovative, supportive DT team, contributing to exciting projects such as Greenpower racing, fashion shows, sustainable plastics, STEM events and the UK’s first school-based Test Track.
A welcoming, respectful school culture where casual staff are valued and treated as an integral part of the team.
Access to outstanding facilities and resources, supporting your development while keeping the role enjoyable and varied.
A positive, appreciative working environment with manageable expectations and a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing.
If you are inspired by the challenge and responsibility of this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you!
