Salary: Our Tesco Colleague pay starts from £12.45 per hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Hours: New colleagues receive a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if desired.
Availability: The role references availability windows for the week; contracted hours are scheduled with 3 weeks notice of shifts. Tesco supports flexibility where possible.
About the role: This is a customer-focused, varied store role requiring doers who can serve shoppers, work across service, picking and replenishment areas, and contribute to store operations safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Know and serve customers with passion and pride; provide natural, friendly service.
* Maintain product knowledge across store offerings and services.
* Work across service, picking, and replenishment areas as needed.
* Apply training to ensure safe, efficient operations and excellent customer service.
* Make decisions that benefit customers; execute store routines to meet customer needs.

* Understand store performance, contribute to driving service, sales, reducing waste, and protecting profitability.
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and condition for customers.
* Represent Tesco values; follow policies and help everyone feel welcome.
* Occasionally accept deliveries into the store as required.
