Description Social Worker Level 2 | 10308 | permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £39,862 to £41,771 per annum | Grade J | Norwich Are you an experienced Social Worker, living in the United Kingdom, registered with Social Work England, looking to join a forward‑thinking team that embraces change and is committed to promoting independence, resilience, and wellbeing? If so, joining our Central Norwich team could be the right move for you. We are proud to work within the Community Led Support (CLS) model, which underpins our approach and shapes the way we support adults in the community. CLS encourages us to work alongside people, focusing on their strengths, networks and aspirations, and finding creative, local solutions that help individuals remain independent for as long as possible. It enables practitioners to spend more time having meaningful conversations and delivering high‑quality, person‑centred practice that is responsive and grounded in what matters most to the person. An opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker Level 2 to join our Physical Disability and Older People’s Team. Covering Central Norfolk, our team of Social Workers, Assistant Practitioners and Occupational Therapists work collaboratively to assess and support adults living in the community, applying the Care Act (2014) to ensure that people receive proportionate, outcome‑focused support. With strong integrated working arrangements, you will enjoy a varied and rewarding role, with opportunities to work closely with colleagues across Norfolk County Council, the NHS, and wider community partners. To build meaningful relationships with the people we support, this role requires regular in-person work in both the office and community. We are looking for someone with experience of working with adults and managing complex cases, who has a sound understanding of the Care Act (2014), the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and safeguarding responsibilities. Strong time‑management and IT skills are essential, and it would be advantageous to have a working knowledge of Norfolk County Council processes and procedures. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who is committed to strengths‑based practice, who values partnership working, and who is passionate about supporting people to live well, stay connected, and maintain their independence. If you are motivated by high‑quality social work practice and want to be part of a team that is embracing Community Led Support and driving positive change, we would be delighted to hear from you. The interviews will be face to face at County Hall, Norwich.
