This role will be a mixture of remote working and in-person working at our office. Creative Recovery is based at the community centre on Prospect Street in Barnsley, S70 2NR.

16-20 hrs per month on a flexible basis (2-3 day equivalent).

Be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of Creative Recovery in line with our financial policies and procedures
* Process all invoices, bills and transactions relating to Creative Recovery’s work, using existing systems or creating new systems to support different projects or funder requirements. We currently use Xero to manage our finances and process cash donations from participants and fundraisers.
* Support the Company Manager in the monthly payments session (usually in person and at the end of each calendar month – dates and times to be set collectively).
* Provide payroll and pension updates to the payroll bureau. We currently have 2 members of staff (PAYE), all other colleagues are freelance.
* Support project leaders with financial information, including providing timely updates on project budgets to support fundraising, project management and reporting processes.
* Provide finance reports / updates, for the National Lottery Community Fund and monitor funds (until June 2027).
* Provide financial reports for the trustees and governance meetings using the Xero system.
* Work alongside our charity accountants at Barnsley CVS to prepare for our annual accounts and report.
* Work with the team to create and update finance policies as required.
* Work with the treasurer to upload the annual accounts to the Charity Commission.
