With over 1,000 colleagues in 20 sites nationwide delivering excellent performance, Olleco supply premium cooking oils and collect organic wastes from our customers. Waste are then converted into biofuels, green electricity, heat and organic fertiliser through our production assets, including used cooking oil processing, biodiesel production, and three anaerobic digestion plants.
are now looking for an Engineering Manager at Liverpool to join our team and help us prioritise investment, to continue to do things the right way for customers, colleagues, and the planet. They will be part of the Liverpool Site Leadership Team reporting into the Head of UK Operations – Biofuels.
Managing a team of Project Engineers the Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely completion of projects to agreed budgets. They will work closely with Operations and Terminal Managers identifying and executing plant improvement projects. They will also be responsible for process safety compliance.

* Provide comprehensive programme management leadership and support across a range of companywide engineering projects
* Ensure best in class health & safety across all projects
* Ownership of safety reviews (HAZOPS, PHR reviews, LOPAS) also mentoring the team to gain process safety knowledge.
* Influence and engage cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met within defined timelines
* Ensure all projects comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
* Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans
* Manage budgets, capital expenditure (CAPEX), and resource planning for engineering projectsSupport mentor and develop engineers within team
* Maintain and deliver summaries and reports as required

What are we looking for?
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Chemical Engineering or related discipline and 5+ years of experience.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* A comprehensive understanding of process safety (Hazardous area classification, HAZOP, PHR, LOPA)
* Strong understanding of Health, Safety & Environment legislation (ideally NEBOSH General Certificate)
* Knowledge should include excellent appreciation of PSSR, DSEAR, and equipment integrity inspection requirements.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
* Ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self‑motivating and able to recognise and introduce improvements
* Exhibit confidence in self and others; Inspires and motivates others to perform well
* Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workload
