Main Purpose of Role Families can be torn apart by the consequences of fatal and serious injury road traffic collisions, and it is the aim of the Nottinghamshire Safety Camera Partnership (NSCP) to reduce such collisions and prevent injuries to members of the public who use the roads and footways of Nottinghamshire. To achieve this, the partnership undertakes the three E’s. Engineering projects to make safety improvements to the road network, Education programs for children, other risk groups and re-educating offending drivers, and Enforcement against offending drivers, referring the same to speed awareness courses, or in more serious cases, prosecution. The File Submission Role is key in identifying cases where non-compliance with S172 of the Road Traffic Act occurs, and manages the process of preparing statements and building prosecution files, and representing Nottinghamshire Police in the Magistrates Court through the presentation of evidence to the same.
