Ealing Trailfinders is an ambitious and progressive, rugby union Club based in West-London. Our Men's team compete in Champ Rugby, and the Women's team compete in Premiership Women's Rugby (PWR). As we continue to grow and pursue our ambitions, this is a unique opportunity to join Trailfinders at an exciting and pivotal moment in the Club’s journey.
THE ROLE
As Media Manager, you will play a central role within the Club’s content team – a hands-on, creative position for someone who can plan, capture and produce exceptional video and digital content. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will help bring the Club’s stories to life across our Men’s and Women’s teams, Academy, and Community, inspiring a sense of belonging within supporters and deepening their relationship with the club.
This is a role for a creator with multiple strings to their bow, but who excels with a camera in hand and creation as the task – someone who can blend creativity, technical skill and storytelling instinct to deliver work that feels ambitious, authentic, and alive.
Please note, this is an on-site role that requires flexibility to work around the rugby calendar, including evenings and weekends.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Deliver the Club’s media strategy, ensuring content is consistent, creative and aligned with our values.
•Work every matchday (home and away), in line with the Club’s staffing schedule, to maximise live and post-match media output.
•Manage and support the content team day-to-day, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
•Plan, film, and edit engaging video content that brings the Club, players and supporters closer together – from match highlights and interviews to behind-the-scenes features.
•Write clear, accurate and engaging match reports and support written output across press releases, features and website updates.
•Coordinate and deliver campaigns across fixtures, projects and partnerships, in collaboration with the Head of Marketing, Communications & Ticketing.
•Use analytics and insights to plan and refine output, driving supporter engagement and audience growth.
•Engage directly with supporters online, cultivating a positive and active digital community.
•Liaise with broadcast, press and digital partners to coordinate access, approvals and content opportunities.
•Stay across emerging trends and cultural moments to find authentic, innovative ways to connect with audiences.
•Liaise with colleagues across departments to maintain alignment and uphold the Club’s standards.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
●Knowledge of Rugby Union
●Proven experience in videography, including filming, editing and producing high content for digital and social platforms.
●Strong grasp of storytelling through video – from planning and shooting to post-production, with an eye for pacing, emotion and audience engagement.
●Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (, Adobe Premier Pro / CS)
●Experience and understanding of social media channels and demonstrated ability to create engaging social-first content that performs cross-platform.
●Strong relationship management and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and players
●Outstanding communication skills with excellent copywriting ability and attention to detail.
●Ability to work flexibly against tight timelines without compromising quality.
●A team-first mindset that thrives in exciting environments.
●Self-motivated and dynamic personality with the ability to be proactive and flexible.
DESIRABLE
●Experience working within content & media functions in the sports industry
●Understanding of the wider implications of communication roles to marketing
●Clear understanding of the club’s current output, current social trends, and ability to identify opportunities
●Ability to supplement their content creation with strong photography
●Staff management experience
●Experience working with talent
●Good knowledge of Ealing Trailfinders
●Experience in capturing high-quality vertical content & editing skills
●Proficiency with Adobe After Effects
●A degree in sports communications/media
