Following our successful opening, and with the business expanding as we prepare for the season, we are excited to announce that we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team.
The Host is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in shaping the dining experience. This position is responsible for delivering a warm, professional welcome, managing reservations and seating efficiently, and maintaining the refined yet lively atmosphere of a luxury hotel brasserie.

- Package is equivalent to up to £14.44 per hour including expected tronc and holiday pay based on 40 hours

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first and last impression.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus in accordance with service standards.
- Manage guest expectations regarding waiting times and seating availability.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback with courtesy and discretion.
- Manage reservations using the hotels booking system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate walk-ins and reservations to optimise table turnover and service flow.
- Communicate seating plans clearly with the service team.
- Maintain an accurate waitlist during busy service periods.
- Act as the central communication point between guests, the operational team and management.
- Inform the team of VIP guests, special occasions, dietary requirements, and preferences.
- Liaise with the kitchen and floor team to ensure smooth pacing of service.
- Maintain excellent personal grooming and professional appearance at all times.
- Support the overall ambience of the brasserie through polished and attentive presence.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and brand standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Calm and professional demeanour under pressure
Attention to detail and strong time management
Confident, friendly, and approachable personality
Essential Experience:
Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a guest-facing hospitality role
Strong command of English (additional languages an advantage)
Desirable Experience:
Experience in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant environment
Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., ResDiary or similar)
Formal hospitality or customer service training
