This would be a great fit for a meticulous individual who enjoys challenge and variety in their day to day.</p><ul><li>Graduate Metallurgist</li><li>Permanent position</li><li>Global manufacturer of precision components</li><li>10% matched pension, 25 days holiday & life assurance</li></ul><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>To support the Quality & Materials Lead in pursuing business objectives.</li><li>To support the enforcement of the Quality Management Systems across the site, ensuring both our products and services consistently meet high quality standards.</li><li>To assist with the identification, development and implementation of process improvements.</li><li>To ensure that all work meets customer expectations on delivery and quality, both internal and external.</li><li>To be flexible, adaptable and move between work areas as required.</li><li>Carry out any other reasonable request by Senior Management Team.</li></ul><h3>Role Description</h3><ul><li>To ensure that agreed customer delivery times are achieved through maintaining product conformity and that customers receive a high standard of service at all times.</li><li>To manage the administration of any non-conformance and corrective action reporting.</li><li>To control the Quality Management System by updating & issuing procedures as appropriate.</li><li>To control the calibration system.</li><li>Participate in investigations and problem solving.</li><li>To participate in actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality system.</li><li>Identify and record any problems relating to product, process and quality system.</li><li>Control further processing and delivery of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.</li><li>To support activities to drive close-out of actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformance (product, process or quality system).</li><li>To undertake internal QMS audits to ensure product and process conformity and deal with customer and supplier audits on site.</li><li>Support process owners in review and update of process procedures and instructions.</li><li>To prepare certification and shipping documents.</li><li>To archive records as required.</li><li>Provide Materials Engineering support as required: prepare metallurgical reports, work in the metallographic lab etc.</li><li>Collate and publish Quality metrics.</li><li>To carry out any other task as requested by the leadership team.</li></ul><h3>Knowledge and Experience</h3><ul><li>Graduate - Metallurgist degree qualified</li><li>IT literate with Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of SPC would be advantageous.</li><li>Must have a high degree of numerical ability.</li><li>Good communication and problem solving skills.</li><li>Must be capable of working within a minimum level of supervision and of sustaining a fair degree of pressure.</li></ul><h3>Working Hours</h3><ul><li>Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm</li><li>Friday - 8am to 3.30pm</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>25 days annual leave plus bank holidays</li><li>10% matched pension</li><li>3x annual salary life assurance</li><li>Profit related bonus scheme</li></ul><p>Please note this role will be site based.</p></div>
