The Operations Specialist will support the Operations business groups to facilitate effective administration and office operating procedures. This position will interact directly with internal customers to provide efficient and effective responses to requests and inquires. The primary function of this role will be the initiation of purchase orders for the various departments that support the Operations team.
Location: Slough
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week: Monday – Friday
* Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and/or to departments originating requests
* Provide ongoing administrative support tasks for programs, projects and/or processes specific to the Operations department;
* Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases, and provide information about these rules to organization staff members
* Assist with research & reporting;
* Administrative data entry;
* Document and spreadsheet review/modifications;
* Ensure key site documents are uploaded to online document library and kept updated;
* Efficient, accurate record and document control;
* Assist with coordination of vendor contracts and renewals as required;
* Manage and communicate key upcoming dates, training, projects and events
* Communicate, coordinate, and expedite efforts between office & field personnel
* Liaison with CyrusOne business units
* Consider opportunities for process improvement
* Manage and update capital projects tracking data
Experience
* Previous administration experience is helpful but not essential
* Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, Yardi, Zendesk, or any ticketing systems is desirable
* Experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and/or Real Estate a plus
Skills and aptitudes
* Computer Knowledge, preferably Yardi (Primary), Zendesk a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
* Work independently
* Able to prioritize work in a fast-paced office environment
* Strong computer and/or data entry experience necessary
* Ability to read and perform mathematical calculations
* Strong customer service, technical aptitude and attention to detail
* Preferable Knowledge of ticketing system. Initiates, updates, tracks, escalate and close trouble tickets
