Overview
To act as a professional member of a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for implementing Trust-wide Water Safety services systems and equipment, capital projects, energy and environmental Water Safety management and building management controls.
Post Holder will report directly to the Estates Manager (Compliance) and will develop working relationships with Estates Operations, Capital Projects, Consultant Designers, AE(W) and IPC colleagues on all Trust sites and with other directorate heads of service. Close liaison with the Estates Operations Manager, Head of Estates, Energy Manager, and other operational leads, including UCL and Royal Free Charity stakeholders. The post holder is required to participate within the on‑call rota system and will provide leadership of the Water Safety discipline including supporting Mechanical Craftsperson’s (Plumbing).
Responsibilities
* Implement and give HTM guidance for water safety systems, capital infrastructure projects with a bias towards water systems on all sites in accordance with Trust’s Water Safety Plan, planned plant replacement Capital programme, statutory obligations, Codes of Practice and Department of Health Guidelines.
* Ensure safe systems of work as an authorised person for Water Safety in accordance with HTM 04-01: Parts A, B & C.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on Trust-wide initiatives.
* Participate in on‑call rota and provide leadership within Water Safety discipline.
Qualifications and Skills
The post holder must possess the necessary skills, training, experience and qualifications to operate the Trusts safe systems of work as an authorised person for Water Safety in accordance with HTM 04-01: Parts A, B & C. Other Advanced Professional disciplines may include for Trust resilience and career progression:
* Decontamination
* Medical Gas Pipeline Systems
* Ventilation (HVAC)
* Pressure Systems
