Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role is to undertake a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the Practice. Duties can include, but are not limited to, patient registrations, processing of information in a timely manner and in accordance with current policies and liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies.

Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities ofthe Medical Administrator. There may be,on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependentupon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
* Processincoming and outgoing mail
* File andstore records as required
* Photocopy/scandocumentation for coding or sending to GPs
* Processchanges to patient registration, temporary patients, deduction of recordand new patient registration
* Code/Inputdata into the patients healthcare records
* Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callersrequests appropriately
* Welcomepatients and visitors to the organisation, directing requestsappropriately
* Maintain aclean, tidy, effective working area at all times
* Supportall clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
Inaddition to the primary responsibilities, the Administrator may be requestedto:
* Partakein audit as directed by the audit lead
* Bookappointments
* Completeopening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
* Theremay be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels

Qualifications
* GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above) or equivalent
