Senior Optical Physicist – Complex R&D
A leading technology innovator in the heart of Cambridge's tech hub is looking for an optical physicist to join their up-and-coming team of engineers and scientists.
* Design and development of highly complex optical devices and hardware.
* Conceptualise new ideas and inventions around advanced optics and take concepts from initial design through to manufacturing.
* Work on propagation, imaging systems, fibre optics, high‑power and ultrafast lasers, fluorescence imaging and surface‑interactions.
* Experience developing optics‑based technologies in a commercial setting.
* Strong academic background and first‑principles knowledge.
* Excellent pen‑and‑paper maths skills.
* Employment in the defence industry with British security clearance (must meet criteria).
