ThePurposeofthisRole:-
GroundsmaintenanceprovidesanessentialserviceinensuringtheCountydeliversitsaspirationsofprovidinganenvironmentwhichissafe,cleanandsustainable.Groundsmaintenanceoperatives,eitherworkingindividuallyorasateam,willmaintainpublicopenspace;verges;planting;schoolsandcontractedsitestoprovideaqualitygreenandsustainableenvironment.
Yourresponsibilitiesareto:-GroundsOperative
Grasscuttingactivitiesusingbothhandheldandrideonequipmenttoopenspaces,schoolsetc.
Assistwithgravediggingandcemeteryrelatedtaskswhensuitabletraininghasbeengiven.
Tomaintainhorticulturalfeaturesinclusiveofshrubbedandareasofannualbedding.
Tocarryoutthemarkingandmaintenanceofvarioussportsfacilities.
Toundertakelandscapingofopenspaces.
Arboriculturework.
Toemptylitterbinsandtocarryoutlitterpickingtoopenspaces,vergesandhardsurfaces(reactiveorproactive/scheduled).
Respondtofly-tippingservicerequestsensuringthecorrectprocessisfollowedforevidencecollation.
Toensurethatvehiclesarekeptcleanandthatdailysafetyinspectionsarecarriedout.
