Our client is a major organisation delivering large-scale transformation across complex supply chains and logistics environments. They operate in a highly regulated sector and offer a collaborative setting where architects work across modern, multi-technology platforms.
Role Overview:
We're hiring an IT Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure. You'll guide architectural decisions from requirements capture and high-level design through to implementation and sustainment, ensuring alignment with technical, security, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end solution architecture across multiple domains
* Produce high-level designs, interface specifications, and technical proposals
* Support platform selection and buy vs build evaluations
* Ensure compliance with architecture principles, security, and regulatory standards
* Engage with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams on technical decisions
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Solution Architect on large, complex programmes
* Strong background across application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture
* Solid knowledge of integration concepts (SOA, ESB, XML, Web Services, MQ)
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Exposure to logistics or supply chain technology
* Familiarity with WMS, TMS, ERP, procurement, or analytics systems
* Knowledge of TOGAF, MODAF, or ArchiMate
* Experience with compliance documentation in regulated environments
* Background working within CMMI Level 3 environments
Clearance Requirements:
* BPSS is required to start
* SC clearance required for the role
