This is a senior-level opportunity for an individual with strong commercial expertise and estimating experience to take a key leadership role within a growing business delivering a wide range of civil engineering projects.
The Role:
As Estimator / Commercial Manager, you will oversee the full commercial and estimating function for the business, working closely with senior management and project teams to manage tenders, secure new work, and ensure the financial success of live projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the preparation and submission of tenders and estimates
* Managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects from tender stage to final account
* Working closely with clients to build strong relationships and identify new opportunities
* Overseeing procurement and subcontractor management
* Producing detailed cost reports, forecasts, and valuations
* Providing strategic commercial advice to the senior leadership team
* Managing and mentoring commercial staff as required
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the civils or construction sector
* Strong background in estimating and tendering processes
* Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
* Relevant degree or professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar
