Role based in North East
The successful post holder will need to live within the North East region.
As this role covers a large geographical area, some travel will be expected, though The Children’s Society encourage flexible working and home working.
Salary: £45,900 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
The Children’s Society are seeking an experienced leader within the sector who has experience of leading delivery and interventions for young people and holding responsibility for NHS and Local Authority contracts. We are looking for someone who can bring a unique blend of skills and experience of emotional wellbeing, mental health and Adolescent risk services, whilst holding strong clinical awareness within the field of children & young people’s mental health, together with excellent networking and relationship building skills.
Your role will be to manage the breadth of delivery across a large geographical area such as the North East region and nurture and develop the partnership we have in place both internally & externally. This high profile role represents The Children’s Society in a range of ways and through different mediums. We are looking for someone who can staddle strategic influencing at central government level with championing and amplifying youth voice.
We are looking for experienced candidates that can demonstrate the following abilities, knowledge & skills,
1. Ability to develop and strengthen the operational and clinical foundation of our services and provide strategic oversight across a national portfolio.
2. Proven track record in delivering outstanding frontline Adolescent Risk or Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing models for disadvantaged young people and their families.
3. Substantial experience of managing, developing and evaluating effective and innovative services for vulnerable children and families.
4. Understanding of implementing quality governance processes and frameworks to evidence quality.
5. Proven ability in leading and developing large teams of staff and volunteers.
6. Hands-on experience in establishing and managing safe practice within Adolescent Risk or Emotional & Mental Health Services.
