We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable and experienced Nightshift Maintenance Technician to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance at our Caythorpe site. This is a hands-on role ideal for a time-served technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills, a background in the waste or heavy manufacturing industries, and proven ability to weld and maintain critical processing equipment. Hours 9pm - 7am, Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities Carry out fault diagnosis and repair on a wide range of plant equipment, including shredders, balers, conveyors, and sorting systems. Work across mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, control panels, and hydraulics. Support root cause analysis and provide suggestions for long-term solutions. Work to the highest safety standards, following site permit-to-work procedures and lock-out/tag-out protocols. Liaise with production and control room staff to coordinate maintenance with minimal disruption.Qualifications NVQ level 3 Time-served apprenticeship or higher technical qualification(HNC/HND) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-skilled Engineering. Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in the waste, recycling, or heavy manufacturing industries. Competent in welding and mechanical fabrication. Experience with shredders, balers, conveyors, and sorting systems is desirable. Electrical qualifications (e.g. 18th Edition) highly desirable. IOSH/NEBOSH certification or similar health and safety training (preferred). IPAF or MEWP trained
