Join our dynamic and supportive Procurement team, where youll play a vital role in managing the Colleges supply base. This new position offers you the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of suppliers and the opportunity to work with college staff at all levels. Your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships will be essential to your success in this role. As a Procurement Officer you will be at the forefront of working with a wide range of suppliers; from IT and Estates to any of our departments offering a wide range of exciting courses to our students at each of our College centres. The role requires a proactive attitude, keen attention to detail, and the capability to work independently while also embracing teamwork in an often agile workplace. You will be leading lower value tenders and contract management, advising colleagues on Procurement processes and assisting the Procurement Manager with reporting and higher value tenders. In addition, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative needs of the team including maintenance of the contract database, communication channels and template documentation. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring the Procurement Strategy is delivered and that we remain compliant to legal requirements (e.g. the Procurement Act). Therefore, a background in Procurement and good knowledge of the Procurement Act will set you up for success in this rewarding position.
