About Us: Connolly Scaffolding is a well‑established and respected scaffolding contractor based in Salford, delivering high‑quality access solutions across the North West. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Estimator to join our growing estimating team.
The Role: You will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive quotations for a broad range of scaffolding projects. We use SMART Estimator for pricing and to manage our opportunities, so strong computer skills are important.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed estimates using SMART Estimator
* Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents
* Carry out site visits as required (full UK driving licence is essential)
* Manage and update opportunities within
* Liaise with clients, site teams, suppliers, and internal departments
* Prepare tender submissions and pricing documentation
* Maintain well‑organised project and estimate records
What we're looking for, candidates must have:
Scaffold estimating experience, AND/OR
A minimum of 6 years' experience in the scaffolding industry (e.g. scaffolder, advanced scaffolder, supervisor, inspector)Additionally, successful candidates will be:
* Confident working autonomously with minimal supervision
* Proactive and motivated, with a strong attention to detail
* Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems
* Strong communicators, both written and verbal
* Open to innovation, bringing new ideas and improvements to processes
* Able to travel to sites when required (full UK driving licence required)
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience with SMART Estimator
* Understanding of temporary works requirements
* Background in client‑facing or commercial roles
