Summary: We seek an experienced Broadcast Operations Consultant for a 6-month contract to evaluate, optimize, and future-proof our broadcast workflows and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of modern broadcast technologies, an analytical mindset, and a proven track record of delivering actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Operational & Infrastructure Audit: Comprehensive review of current broadcast workflows and physical/digital infrastructure, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and assessing scalability and resilience. Workflow & Technology Optimisation: Mapping and streamlining end-to-end broadcast chains, recommending standardisation, automation, and technology improvements (e.g., IP, cloud, 5G, HDR) to align with future needs. Compliance & Security: Ensuring adherence to industry standards, reviewing recording/delivery specs, and evaluating network hygiene and cybersecurity practices. Vendor & Cost Analysis: Auditing 3rd party systems for integration issues and support concerns, and analyzing OPEX/CAPEX to identify cost-saving opportunities. Documentation & Team Capability: Standardising workflows, improving SOPs, and assessing in-house technical capabilities and training needs. About You: Extensive experience in broadcast operations/engineering consultancy. Deep technical knowledge of broadcast workflows, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Proven ability to conduct audits, assess risks, and provide strategic recommendations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Familiarity with industry standards (SMPTE, EBU, ITU, OCI). Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the London Office.
