We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Yardman / Stockman & Driver to join a busy and well-established business based near Gwalchmai, Anglesey North Wales. This is an excellent temporary to permanent opportunity offering long-term stability and full training for the right candidate.
This is a varied hands-on role combining yard, workshop and delivery duties, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and being part of a small, supportive team.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Unloading deliveries and racking stock correctly
2. Colour coding and organising materials
3. Loading and unloading customer orders and deliveries
4. Carrying out workshop duties including cutting, bending, drilling and painting
5. Operating overhead crane and forklift equipment
6. Supporting larger fabrication and welding projects when required
7. Delivering customer orders using company vehicles and trailers
8. Securing loads safely prior to transport
9. Completing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting faults
10. Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required
11. Following all company health & safety procedures
We would love to see your CV if you have the following:
12. A clean UK driving licence
13. Forklift experience and a licence/ticket (although training will be provided for the right candidate)
14. Overhead crane ticket
15. Health & Safety certification/tickets
16. A positive and flexible approach to work
17. Good awareness of health & safety practices
18. Experience in a yard, warehouse, workshop or industrial environment (preferred)
This is a full-time temporary role that could go permanent for the right person. Working 40 hours per week 8 till 5 Monday to Thursday and 8 till 4 on Friday, with an hourly pay rate of £13.50 + accrued holiday pay whilst on assignment, plus the opportunity for training and to develop your skills.
